Ledger.com/start — Get Started with Your Ledger Device
Getting started — quick overview (H2)
Step 1 — What you need (H3)
Unbox your Ledger device and ensure you have: the device, a USB cable, a recovery sheet, and a computer or smartphone with internet access. Avoid buying from third-party sellers unless they are trusted resellers — buy from Ledger's official store.
Step 2 — Initialize the device (H3)
Power on the device and follow the on-device instructions to set a PIN. The device will then display a 24-word recovery phrase (write it down on the recovery sheet provided). Never share that phrase or type it into websites or apps.
Step 3 — Install Ledger Wallet (Ledger Wallet™) (H4)
Download the official Ledger Wallet app (formerly Ledger Live) to install blockchain apps on your device and manage accounts. Use the app to check firmware, install coin apps, and create or restore accounts.
Step 4 — Add accounts & test (H4)
Add at least one account for the asset you want to manage, receive a small test amount first to confirm everything works, then move larger sums. Always verify the receiving address on the device screen before approving a transaction.
Security checklist (H5)
- Never share your 24-word recovery phrase; never type it into any app or website.
- Download Ledger Wallet only from the official site or official app stores.
- Keep firmware up to date via the official app and verify device authenticity when prompted.
Troubleshooting & support (H3)
If you have issues: check official support articles, update the Ledger Wallet app, verify firmware version shown by the app, and contact Ledger support via their official channels if necessary.
Presentation notes & accessibility (H2)
This HTML file is designed as a short presentation or quick-start landing page. Headings H1→H5 demonstrate structure and can be used directly as slide titles when converting to a slide tool. Colors are chosen for strong contrast and visual hierarchy.
